Revival History
The Toronto Blessing
In January of 1994, led by John and Carol Arnott, a church known at the time as Toronto Airport Vineyard met on the end of a runway at Pearson International Airport in Toronto. It quickly came to the world's attention as a place where God chose to meet with His people as the Holy Spirit poured out in unprecedented ways. As a result of this divine visitation, the members were thrust into ministry to thousands of people worldwide. This revival, carrying heavenly Father's love, came to be known as the Toronto Blessing which had a huge global impact spreading to hundreds of nations around the world. Toronto Airport Christian Fellowship (TACF) soon became a familiar new name.
From Here To The Nations
Fast forward a few years, with a passion for local church to manifest God's Kingdom on earth and to disperse revival to the nations, TACF transitioned into Catch The Fire. After more than two decades of significant and impactful years of hosting revival, John and Carol as Senior Leaders passed on the baton to Duncan & Kate Smith in September of 2015. They now lead the ministry with a trustworthy and dynamic team who are passionate about seeing this global movement of churches encounter God's transforming presence.
Revival Present & Future
Gathering to Scattering
At Catch The Fire, our mission has always been to foster environments where people can encounter the transformative presence of the Holy Spirit. For many years, seekers and believers alike have journeyed to Toronto, drawn by the profound outpouring of the Father's Blessing. This season, however, marks a pivotal shift in our ministry's narrative—from gathering to scattering. As we transition from a centralized place of revival to a globally dispersed movement, our vision is to spread the revival fire by establishing supernatural churches across the world.
This vision of "scattering" embodies our commitment to multiply healthy, spirit-filled churches that extend the flame of the Toronto Blessing into diverse communities worldwide. It’s about sharing the fire that God lit in Toronto, allowing it to ignite hearts and communities across the globe. Each church planted under this vision becomes a beacon of God’s love, a center for spiritual renewal, and a source of transformation for its locality.
An Invitation
Our apostolic network thrives on a foundation of shared values that unite and guide us. We prioritize relationships over processes and seek to partner with churches and ministries that hold His Presence at the core of their mission. In this season of scattering, we extend an invitation to you—to join us in this divine assignment of spreading the Father’s Blessing far and wide. Whether you are looking to establish a new church or integrate these values into your existing community, we want to connect with you, support you, and grow together as a kingdom family.
Together, let's embrace this season of scattering, as we extend God’s transformative presence to new territories. Let’s carry the torch of revival to the ends of the earth and witness the unfolding of His kingdom on earth as it is in heaven. Join us, and be part of a movement that scatters to gather—a global family that brings heaven’s touch to every corner of the world.
