Impactful Initiatives: Changing Lives in Pakistan
Over the recent years, we have had the privilege of planting churches, providing food, clothing, medical and dental care to remote communities, and initiating educational opportunities for children through new schools. We've also been able to provide emergency accommodation to Christian families who were unable to stay in their home areas for various reasons.
During difficult times for the nation our local churches have sprung into action to help others with essentials like food, clothing and medicines. This has been through local donations of items, and by partnership with the international body of Christ by being the willing volunteers who go and be the hands and feet to do the work of distributing gifts given by those abroad though our partnerships with Christian humanitarian organisations such Impact Nations.
The Catch The Fire Pakistan pastors and leaders have been working together across many different cities in unity for missions trips, conferences and discipleship training events such as the recent Youth Leaders Conference where 50 of our young people from 3 different areas gathered to be trained for youth ministry. Many of the pastors enjoyed an incredible time together as part of our Catch The Fire South Asia Retreat last year where we gathered as brothers and sisters in Christ united through the love of God, and not divided by the politics of our nations in the South Asia Region.
A highlight of this year was the opportunity to minister in the nearby country of Saudi Arabia. We were delighted to have doors opened to serve there by helping run a Father Heart Conference for 150 attendees. People from the churches in Catch The Fire Pakistan donated to help support brothers and sisters in Saudi Arabia and send them to the conference where they were blessed to experience many profound encounters with God's love as well as freedom from personal bondages. It was a delight to see the work of Catch The Fire Pakistan being a blessing to other nations, just as we have received blessing by so many over the years. We delight in being able to give as well as receive as God enables us.
Deuteronomy 31:8 resonates deeply with us as we see the Lord at work in and through the church in Pakistan : "The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.” We continuously see God at work going before us, and with us, and we continue to pray that our people will be encouraged and not afraid as they follow Jesus. It’s been incredible to hear the stories that just keep getting better and sound a lot like the book of Acts in action!
We invite you to join us in giving thanks and celebrating what God is doing in Pakistan. We particularly celebrate the commitment, passion, bravery and personal sacrifices of the many pastors, evangelists, teachers, humanitarian workers, and others who serve in Catch The Fire Pakistan’s growing number of churches and ministries! We also celebrate those who support this work from the wider body of Christ through prayer, support, partnerships and missions trips.
As we look forward through the rest of 2024, we are excited about the expanding vision and ongoing opportunities to be a blessing to Pakistan and the nations because of our wonderful Lord and Saviour Jesus!
