WHERE

We brought a team of eleven youth and leaders out to Ukraine this past summer. When we arrived in Kiev, we were unsure of what to expect as many of our team had never travelled outside of Ontario, let alone Canada. After a few days of getting used to the time-change, we started a camp with about forty Ukrainian youth. Not only did we not know what to expect, but they had no idea what God was wanting to bring through our team from Toronto. During the week of camp which was full of team games, intense worship, teaching, small groups and incredible memories, Holy Spirit decided to show up in a powerful way. Many of the youth returned home to their respective cities and churches with a new kind of passion for Jesus in their lives and were visibly different. After our team left, the youth kept in contact (some from as far away as eight hours by train) by praying for each other and calling on God for a revival! On their own they decided that they wanted to get together again and planned a conference for October (with the support of Catch the Fire Ukraine). We were able to bring over a smaller team of leaders and in October hosted 140 youth at a weekend conference focused on bringing a revolution to the hearts and minds of the young people of Ukraine. Our team plans to return hopefully twice in 2011 and we are excited to support the revival that has been started and continues to grow among the youth of Ukraine.
