WHEN

October 2 – 16, 2010

WHERE

Pretoria, South Africa

Soweto, South Africa

Pemba, Mozambique

Thirty–seven amazing people were a part of the Mozambique/South Africa missions trip. Seventeen of us were World Changers and the team represented ten different nations. The team took part in ministering in a revival meeting, serving at a day care centre for refugee children, and visiting Soweto. The key part of our outreach was the week in Pemba, north of Mozambique. This is a coastal city in a predominantly Muslim area. Rolland and Heidi Baker have been in this area for six years and have built a wonderful base. Our team was able to hang out with orphans, feed local children at the com- munity school, teach at the 5 levels of Bible School, minster at the medical clinic, work with widows, sort beans and rice for the poor, and basically bless the people. The highlight of the week was when all of our team headed to the bush. We drove into a remote community with no running water, no electricity, and no toilets. We arrived just before dusk and the Iris team set up a large screen and projector to show the Jesus film. The whole village of about 200 waited for the movie to begin. The people were fixated on Jesus and his miracles. Heidi preached, we prayed for the sick, and saw the deaf and blind healed. We saw God do spectacular miracles during the week. Another highlight was a party that our team hosted for the forty staff missionaries. We had a great meal, heard an update from the Bakers and finished with fire tunnels. Most of us left a part of our hearts in Africa!
